Prosper Ogum Says Bechem United’s Winning Goal Was “Out of Nothing”

The head coach of Asante Kotoko SC, Prosper Narteh Ogum has mulled over the winning goal that cost his side three points in their third straight loss in the premier league this season.

The sensational goal scored by Kofi Tompuo in the 27th minute came from a volley from about 30 yards, catching goalkeeper Camara Mohamed off guard.

Speaking at a press conference, Ogum said the goal came “out of nothing” as he thought it came without much effort from the opponent.

“We didn’t actually convert our chances and then out of nothing from 50 yards or 40 yards they got that unexpected goal.”

He however defended his 24-year-old shot stopper.

”I think nobody expected him to take that shot from that angle. Kamara was following the play and the shot was taken so I think it took him unawares. He was also complaining about the sun, that the sun had interfered with his sight so he could not see the ball.”

Kotoko have now dropped to sixth place with 15 points.
