Prof Gyampo Appointed Ghana Shippers Authority Acting CEO
Political Science lecturer, Prof Ransford Gyampo has been appointed the acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers Authority.
The appointment by President John Dramani Mahama was confirmed by the Secretary to the President, Dr Callistus Mahama.
His appointment is pending receipt of the constitutionally required advice of the governing Board of the Authority, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
Meanwhile, he has been directed to indicate his acceptance or otherwise of this appointment, within fourteen (14) days of receipt of the letter.

Born on 31st March 1977, in Accra Ghana, Prof Ransford Edward Van Gyampo is a Professor of Political Science and the Founding Director of the Centre for European Studies of the University of Ghana, with 20 years of teaching and research experience.
He holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of Ghana and Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
His research interest lies in the areas of Governance, Leadership and Democratic Development in Ghana and Africa; Youth Empowerment and Development; Natural Resource Management; Electoral Studies; Ghanaian and African Politics; Maritime Security in the Gulf of Guinea; and Building Resilient Peace in Africa.
