Police Officer Detained For Fatally Shooting a Man
A police officer with the Ashanti South Regional Police Command has been detained by the police for his involvement in a fatal shooting incident.
In a brief statement, the Ghana Police Service said the incident transpired on April 4, 2024, at Manso Adubia in the Ashanti Region.
“The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has detained a Police Officer for an alleged fatal shooting incident which occurred today 4th April 2024, at Manso Adubia in the Ashanti Region.”
It is not yet known how the incident happened, however, the Service said the family of the victim has been contacted.
“The Inspector-General of Police has spoken to the wife and family of the deceased and sent a high powered Police delegation to commiserate with them while investigation into the incident continues.”
