Police No Longer Give Access to Stations For Movie Shoots- Kwaku Manu
Comic Ghanaian actor, Kwaku Manu has enumerated access to police stations and police kits as part of the challenges producers face in conducting their business.
According to him, this has been the situation and reality for producers in recent times.
He explained the industry which is next to extinct, has been blacklisted from using some official settings for their movie shoots including police stations and the Jubilee House, the seat of the country’s Presidency.
He said they are denied police accoutrements like weapons in their business, a situation he observes didn’t exist years ago.
For the situation with the Seat of the President, he said the industry has no access to it with camera.
“We don’t have the industry anymore in Ghana. We are not allowed to take pictures of the Jubilee House but when we get to America, we take pictures of the White House. Our producers are denied permission to use police stations, weapons and others for our job.”
Kwaku spilt these at an engagement between the former President and players of the Creative Arts Industry in the country this week.
