Police Inspector Interdicted
The Ghana Police Service has announced the interdiction of a Police Chief Inspector, Benjamine Doe Kuwornu for an alleged unprofessional conduct displayed in a viral video.
It comes less than a week after General Corporal Wise Bessey, with the Takoradi District Police Command, was interdicted for misconduct.
The Police announced the interdiction of Inspector Kuwornu in connection to a viral video in a statement on February 6, 2024.
“The Ghana Police Service has interdicted a Police Chief Inspector, Benjamine Doe Kuwornu, stationed in the Central Region, for misconducting himself in a video which has been sighted by the Police Administration.”
According to the police, this is to make way for a thorough investigation into his conduct in line with Police Service Regulations.
It added, “We would like to reiterate our assurance to the general public that the Police Service will continue to ensure that professionalism is maintained at all times in the discharge of our mandate.”
