Police Arrest Suspect in Mamobi NPP-NDC Clash Video

The Ghana Police Service has arrested Fatawu Ibrahim, known as Fatau Motorway, in connection with the recent clash between supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Mamobi, Accra.

Ibrahim, who was captured on video holding a gun during the incident, was declared wanted, with a GH¢20,000 reward offered for credible information leading to his capture.

Currently in police custody, Fatau Motorway will face court proceedings, with the case handled by the Office of the Attorney General.

The police have emphasized their commitment to prosecuting those involved in the October 13th clash to ensure accountability and public safety.

The Ghana Police Service has arrested suspect  Fatawu Ibrahim alias Fatau Motorway, who was declared wanted in connection with the disturbances that occurred between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Mamobi in Accra on 13th October 2024.

Fatau Motorway was captured in a video footage carrying a gun during the disturbances. He is currently in Police custody and will be put before the court in due course.

The case is being prosecuted by the Office of the Attorney General.

Supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) engaged in a violent confrontation on Sunday, October 13, 2024, while both were undertaking campaign walks in the area.

This resulted in the firing of guns and fisticuffs that ended in injuries to nine persons.

Fatau Motorway was exposed by CCTV footage and was declared wanted.
