Police Arrest 6 Juveniles for Allegedly Assaulting an Adisadel College Student

Six juveniles and students of Aggrey Memorial Senior High School in Cape Coast are in police custody for allegedly assaulting a final year student of Adisadel College.
They have been identified as Samuel Ankuri, aged 13, Gad Akologo, aged 17, Lartey Jasse, aged 17, Scott Okyere, aged 16, Lord Yamoah, aged 16 and Jerome Appiah Toku, aged 17.
They were handed over to the Kotokuraba Police Station by the school authorities.
The suspects allegedly attacked the victim on February 20, 2026, which marked the final day of the inter-colleges sports festival at the Cape Coast Stadium around 5 pm at Pedu Junction.
Initial Police enquiry revealed that the victim was going out from the stadium while heading back to campus with two of his friends when the Aggrey Memorial Students asked them if they attended Adisadel College and attacked them right after.
“His two other friends managed to escape, but unfortunately, he was caught, and was kicked onto the floor and beaten mercilessly, and they took his iPhone 17 Pro Max and his pocket money of about 1,400 Cedis and his shoes,” a statement by the police reported.
He was rushed to the stadium clinic and was later referred to the Cape Coast Regional Hospital.
He was discharged on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
“The police medical form that was endorsed by a medical doctor showed a fractured nerve bone in his right eye, and he cannot open it up, and the eyeball seems to be falling out,” it confirmed.
It added, “The Central Regional Police Command strongly condemns the violence and assures the public that due process will be followed as the juvenile offenders will face the full rigours of the law.”
