Some Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) in Ashanti Region have made humble appeal to Asantehene, OTUMFUO Osei Tutu II, Government and other civil organizations to come to their aide, Opemsuo.com reports.
This comes after Manhyia Palace Humantarian Relief under the revered King extended kind gesture to some PWDs in Kumasi and other needy people to enable them comply with the President’s directive to combat the COVID-19 pandemic

Speaking to Opemsuo.com reporters, after the donation, Captain of Track and Field and Power Lifted Association, Patrick Yaw Obeng revealed some members have no place to abode dangering their lives in the night.

“Some sleep on the street, others sleep in wooden structures which everyone will attest that it is not the best. So our humble appeal to OTUMFUO is accommodation. We will be happy if our King will do something about our plight”, Mr. Patrick Yaw Obeng appealed.
According to some PWDs our reporters interacted with, they have turned beggars because they have no job and place to sleep calling for the government’s intervention.

Among items the Programs Coordinator for Manhyia Palace Humanitarian Relief, Oheneba Owusu Korkor presented to the Association on behalf of Otumfuo included bags of rice, oil, mackerel and hand sanitizers.
Mr. Obeng therefore expressed delight on behalf of members and thanked Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for remembering them in difficult times like this appealing for more in the near future.
