The leader of the Manhyia Fire Service Outreach Campaign/Education, ADO2 Sarfo Konadu Joe has applauded the initiative which he says is making a great impact in the Manhyia sub-metro and its environs.
In an exclusive interview with Adwoa Serwaa Yonkodo, ADO2 Sarfo said, last year Manhyia Fire Service Station of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) started a house-to-house fire education campaign to sensitize the people on fire outbreaks prevention.
He commended the authorities for initiating such an important project which aided in their quest to avoid fire outbreaks in the area as fire personnel were deployed to homes to engage inhabitants in that regard.
During the house-to-house and office-to-office education, residents were thought the best and safest way of using gas cylinders in their various homes because gas is the most dangerous thing which causes fire outbreaks.
He advised users to stop putting stones on top of their gas cylinders and again avoid cooking banku on the gas stove.
