Otto Addo’s Strategy To Win Uganda Friendly

Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo is focused on breaking into the Ugandan defence forces during the first half of their friendly game against them at Marrakech later today.

According to him, getting onto the scoreline in the first half will enhance the team’s build-up to victory in the next half.

“I hope that we will be able to score a goal in the first half because that will enlighten things and if they have to come and try and equalize as it happened against Comoros, then we will have more space to exploit then we can also make the second goal. But like I said I think the hardest thing will be the first half, to break them to score a goal once we achieve this, everything is going to be easier.”

He is not anticipating an easy game despite being the favourites.

“It’s a different set-up, different hurdles for this match. I think this match we go as favourites but still it won’t be easy; we have been preparing like two or three systems which will suit the game. But I think if they come the way we expect, we have a good chance to beat them.”

Otto is poised to win this game after losing their first friendly against Nigeria by 2-1 on March 21, 2024.
