OSP Must Submit Unedited Version of Galamsey Fraud Documentary- Charles Bissue

The former Secretary of the defunct Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), Charles Cromwell Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue, has demanded the submission of the raw version of Galamsey Fraud Video Documentary which allegedly implicated him for corruption.

This, he said, is to ensure transparency and fairness.

The demand comes after the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) filed a writ to initiate prosecution against him and Andy Thomas Owusu, on charges of the alleged misuse of public office for profit and corruption.

The former government official maintains that he always acted in full compliance with the legal and ethical stipulations of the office.

According to him, any suggestion of misconduct is baseless and will be vigorously challenged through due process.

Welcoming the OSP’s decision to proceed to court and assuring of his full cooperation, he called for impartiality and transparency.

“To ensure transparency and fairness, I expect the OSP to submit to the court a complete, unedited, and unaltered version of the video documentary referenced in these proceedings. Ghanaians deserve access to the unvarnished truth and factual evidence, free from distortion or misdirection by external narratives or selective interpretations.”

“It is my sincere hope that this process will allow all parties an equitable opportunity to present evidence and that the facts will be evaluated fairly, without bias. Above all, I firmly believe that the pursuit of truth and justice must prevail.”

This case pertains to the widely publicized “Galamsey Fraud” investigation, as documented in the 2019 Tiger Eye P.I. report, which has been the subject of public discourse for several years.
