Opemsuo Radio’s KumaseFie show enlisted in the prestigious Ashanti Region Music Awards.
The second phase of this year’s Ashanti Region Music Awards has begun and it is expected to be much more glamorous than the maiden edition which saw about 1600 music lovers trooping into the CCB Auditorium at KNUST last year.
Opemsuo Fm’s Entertainment Show, KumaseFie with Mr. Black, has been one of the most promising entertainment program’s executives out of The 40 Categories this year, with three spots bought.
Mr. Black, Producer, entertainment Pundit, and host of “Kumasefie Show” bags “ENTERTAINMENT SHOW HOST OF THE YEAR Category, Elijah Donkor known widely as “Teacher Kofi” has also been nominated for “ENTERTAINMENT CREATIVE ANALYST OF THE YEAR CATEGORY whiles “Riley Osei” a pundit on the “KumaseFie show who also doubles as an “Artiste Manager” has also been enlisted in “ARTIST MANAGER OF THE YEAR Category respectively.
The winner of a category will be determined through 50% public voting, 30% by the board, and 20% by the academy.
Voting is expected to commence officially on the 17th of November and will end on Saturday 18th December this year at 12noon.
The main event is slated for Saturday 18th December 2021 at Prempeh Assembly Hall, Kumasi. This year’s edition according to the organizers is dubbed ‘’SOLIDFYING THE BREAKTHROUGH OF ASHANTI REGION MUSIC’’.
The event organizers are seen promoting a hashtag which is #MusicIsBackHome. It is not clear the main motive behind this hashtag. However, some entertainment pundits are saying it could mean that the Ashanti region controlling the Ghanaian music industry in the past has been revived and restored by the current Kumerican artists.
