Online Re-exhibition of Voters Roll Starts Today
The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the second exhibition of the country’s Voters Register from Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
A statement issued by Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations said this will be done online and will enable voters to correct errors in the electoral roll between now and Saturday, October 19.
“The Public should note that any discrepancies identified must be reported to the District Office of the Commission where they are registered voters for correction.”
This is in fulfilment of the Commission’s assurance to re-exhibit after addressing discrepancies.
“The Public may recall that during the Special IPAC meeting held on 1st October, the Commission assured the Public that the revised PVR will be re-exhibited Online for registered voters to check their details and report any discrepancies to the Commission for correction.”
How to Check
Voters can check through the short code *711*51# at no cost.
They also can check their details on the EC’s site (https://ec.gov.gh) by clicking on the pop-up link at the bottom-right corner of the screen and entering their 10-digit Voter ID number to retrieve their voter registration details.
The Commission noted that the voters can still check their details after the end of the exercise; however, they cannot cause corrections to be made.
“Once the Re-Exhibition Exercise ends on Saturday, 19th October, voters will still be able to check their details Online but CANNOT request for correction of their details.
“Political Parties are required to use the Template provided by the Commission to submit any discrepancies identified during the Re-Exhibition period.”
