No Casualty Recorded in Labone Warehouse Fire

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has reported zero casualties in last night’s fire that engulfed a warehouse situated at Labone in the Greater Accra Region.

The fire was fully extinguished at midnight on Wednesday after it started around 7 pm on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

Items that were lost in the fire included electrical gadgets, furniture, and phone accessories.

The GNFS in a statement said the fire was averted from spreading to the ground floor and nearby structures thanks to efforts of the firefighters.

“A fire broke out at Capp Global Limited Warehouse in Labone, opposite Republic Bank, on Tuesday, October 01, 2024, at 1742 hours. Swift action by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) saw four (4) fire appliances from Trade Fair, Jubilee House, Ministries, and Headquarters dispatched to the scene.”

It added, “No injuries or fatalities were recorded.”

Investigation has since commenced into the cause of the fire.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
