Phone Remains Biggest Threat To Security, Learning and Discipline In SHS- Eduwatch Boss

The Executive Director of Africa Education Watch (Eduwatch), Mr Kofi Asare, has observed that mobile phone use in Senior High Schools (SHS) is doing more harm than good.
In his observation, it is responsible for the recent spate of insecurity and indiscipline on various campuses.
“As I keep saying, the mobile phone is the biggest threat to security, learning and discipline in secondary schools.”
This is in response to the stabbing of a final year student at Wa T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School (Wa Amass) by a fellow student.
CNR reports that an altercation between the students escalated after the suspect’s unsuccessful attempts to get the victim to delete a video he had taken of him without his consent.
The victim is said to have dared the suspect after he threatened to stab him.
