New Recruits Mubarik Yussif and Emmanuel Kayeke Go Through Kotoko COVID-19 Test
Asante Kotoko new recruits, Emmanuel Keyeke and Mubarik Yussif were part of the playing body who underwent the mandatory COVID-19 test at the club’s Secretariat yesterday.
The COVID-19 test held yesterday following lifting of ban invoked on football on March 15, 2020, forms part of the club’s plans to aid them to start training to sharpen the readiness of the players for the CAF Champions League together with the Ghana Premier League competitions.
Defensive midfielder, Emmanuel Kayeke is joining the ‘Reds’ from Premier League side Karela United. His performance over the years has been nothing short of amazing showings and has been touted as one of the best defensive midfielders in the local League.
Central defender, Yussif Mubarik has also joined the Fabulous side after a successful spell with regional rivals, Obuasi Ashanti Gold.
Mubarik marked his performance with the Black and Yellow team with scintillating performances. A very solid performer whose versatility will give Coach Maxwell Konadu a lot of options.
The two players are expected to bring solidity to Kotoko to perform phenomenally in the CAF Champions League and Ghana Premier League competitions.
The Porcupine Warriors are busy on the market to augment their squad for the CAF Champions League and Ghana Premier League in other to at least win a silverware this season.
The African Club of the Century side will launch training today ahead of the new season after a successful COVID-19 test yesterday at the Club’s Secretariat.
