NDC Presidential, Parliamentary Primaries Nominations Open
Nominations for presidential and parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have opened today, February 22, 2023.
Three days have been set aside for the process.
Parliamentary aspirants will have to pick forms at a cost of GHc5,000 on the official website of the party.
Presidential aspirants on the other hand will have to pick nomination forms at a cost of GHC30,000 from the Office of the General Secretary at the Party’s Headquarters at Adabraka in Accra.
However, female aspirants and persons with physical disabilities will pay 50 per cent of the fee.
Meanwhile, the party has rescheduled parliamentary nominations for some 27 constituencies.
They include Ayawaso Central, Amasaman, Afram Plains South, Akwatia, Efutu, Gomoa Central, Amenfi East, Evalue Gwira, Assin North, Pusiga, Tarkwa Nsuaem, Ayensuano, Adansi Asokwa, Offinso North and Ahafo Ano North constituencies.
Also are Sekyere Afram Plains, Ahafo Ano South East, Bosome Freho, Asante Akim Central, Manso Adubia, Manhyia South, Subin, Fomena, Gomoa East, Akontombra, Binduri and Odododiodio constituencies.
According to the Functional Executive Committee of the party, a new date for these constituencies will be announced in due course.
The primaries will be held on May 13, 2023.
