“My uncle advised me to change my position due to my height.” – Augustine Sefa
Asante Kotoko right-back, Augustine Sefa, has revealed how his height made him change his position to become a right-back.
According to the experienced defender, it took his uncle to identify that his box-to-box midfield role will not let him hit greatness in the arena football.
In an interview on Opemsuo 104.7fm, he said, “I used to play as a defensive midfielder or Box to Box midfielder during my Colts days, but I was advised by my uncle to change my position due to my height.”
“It was extremely difficult for me to accept what my Uncle told me, but after analysing the situation, I deduced a lot of sense from it to change my position,” Sefa concluded.
Augustine Sefa has been a reliable right-back for Asante Kotoko ever since he joined the club as a free agent.
