“My Future First Lady”; Okoe Boye Addresses Samira Bawumia

The Acting Chief Executive Officer for the National Insurance Authority (NHIA), Bernard Okoe Boye believes the current Second Lady of Ghana, Samira Bawumia is destined to become the First Lady in the near future.

This will happen, if only the veep, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia sails through in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) primaries and subsequently the Presidential election of Ghana.

In a Facebook post, the NHIA boss shared a picture of himself and the first lady and captioned it, “My big sister, my friend, my future First Lady.”

He then premised his conviction on a bible scripture from Matthew 19: 26.

“With Him, nothing is impossible”, he added.

The New Patriotic Party is divided on the next person to be the party’s flag bearer for the 2024 General election.

While a section believes the Vice President is next on the line, others have thrown weight behind Alan Kyeremateng, the country’s Trade Minister who has been contesting President Akufo-Addo at the primaries since 2007.

Both, together with other members of the NPP have declared their intentions to run to become the next flagbearer for the party.
