My Church Members Are Broke – Pastor
Head Pastor of Evangelical Methodist Church, Asylum Down, Apostle Daniel Adjei, yesterday joined the #Fixthecountry campaign to demonstrate against the high unemployment rate in the country.
In a video sighted by opemsuo.com, the pastor said the campaign is not targeting political parties but current and previous governance.
“This Demonstration is a peaceful demonstration. We are not going to destroy any state property. We are not against NPP or NDC. We are against the bad leadership of the country, the bad governance of this nation,” he said.
He revealed that churches were not getting tithes and offerings as they should since members were jobless.
“When our church members come to church, they cannot give offerings, they cannot give tithe because all our members are broke. There are no jobs in this our nation. That is why I joined this demonstration”, he said.
Thousands including young and old, joined the campaign to advocate against ‘bad governance’ while demand for a new constitution.
The demonstrators began their journey from Kwame Nkrumah Circle and ended at the Black Star Square.
