MTN FA Cup Round of 64: Kotoko Play King Faisal Without Key Players
Asante Kotoko will play against their regional rivals Kumasi King Faisal in the round of 64 of the MTN FA Cup this afternoon at the Baba Yara Stadium without certain key players.
The Porcupine Warriors will undoubtedly go into the game with a preoccupation to seek revenge against King Faisal.
The rank and file of the Asante Kotoko fraternity were perplexed when King Faisal defeated them by 3-2 in the League, which happens to be Kotoko’s only defeat so far this season.
However, the majority of their key players are out of today’s blockbuster clash with the green and white team.
The 2017 MTN FA Cup Champions will play as a guest to King Faisal without left-backs, Patrick Asmah and Imoro Ibrahim, right-back, Christopher Nettey, central defender and captain of the side Ismail Abdul-ganiu as well as Maxwell Agyemang.
Again, Fabio Gama, Isaac Oppong, Mudasiru Salifu and Samuel Boateng are all out of today’s game.
Asante Kotoko gaffer, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, will have to count on the likes of Augustine Oppong, Charles Owusu, Mubarik Yussif, Emmanuel Kayekeh, Stephen Amankona, Joseph Amoako, Clinton Opoku and other fringe players as they wrestle for qualification in the MTN FA Cup competition this afternoon.
