MoMo Vendors Murder: Wanted Suspect Arrested

The police have successfully nabbed Martin Amoah, the remaining suspect in the murder of Mobile Money vendors in the Ashanti Region.

He was declared wanted by the police following the arrest of three suspects fingered in the heinous crimes.

A statement issued by the Ghana Police Service on March 27 said Martin was busted at his hiding place in Kpone in the Greater Accra Region.

“The Ghana Police Service, through an intelligence-led operation, has arrested another individual in connection with the robbery and murder of a mobile money (momo) vendor in Kumasi, Ashanti Region. The suspect, Martin Amoah, also known as “Baba Macho, was apprehended on 27th March 2025 in Kpone, Greater Accra Region.”

He is currently in custody with three other suspects who were arrested on March 21, 2025, at Pankrono and Atimatim in the Ashanti Region.

“The suspect is currently in custody and will soon be brought before the court to face charges,” it added.

The three suspects who were earlier arrested are 23-year-old Charles Kwame Danso, 29-year-old Philip Fordjour and 42-year-old Samuel Addae Mensah.
