Methodist Church, Kumasi Diocese Appreciates Otumfuo
The Methodist Church of Ghana, Kumasi Diocese has extended gratitude to Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his kind gesture.
According to the lead Chairman of the Kumasi Diocese, Lawyer Asante Krobea they were overwhelmed by His Royal Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s presence at their 31st Watch Night service last year which they show appreciation for.
“During the 31st December watch night, our King graced the night, so our coming is all about gratitude.”
Mr. Krobea with the Bishop of Kumasi Diocese, Rt. Rev Stephen Kwaku Owusu and other priests of the church at the Palace added that Otumfuo’s financial assistance towards the church’s building project is also another move they are grateful for.
“The day before the 31st Night, Otumfuo did us good, he supported us financially towards the construction of a building behind the church, so we are here to say thank you, and we really appreciate the gesture.”
He said they seek continues blessings for him.
The Asante overlord expressed that he is also moved by their work in the church and therefore urges them to be consistent and united.
“I’ve known the Methodist church since childhood and you’ve done good works with the church and I ask that you continue with it.
“Many people have passed through the church and become prominent people in the country, I’ll do anything within my power to support the church, work in truth, love and satisfaction.
