McDan Resumes Private Jet Terminal Service Operation at KIA
McDan Aviation has announced the resumption of its private jet terminal service operation at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
The Fixed Base Operator (FBO) service was closed in December during what the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) called a routine debt collection exercise.
The GACL explained that McDan Aviation owed a debt of $3,995,622.66 dating back to 2020 and had failed to honour its obligation despite numerous engagements, a claim that was disputed by the company.
In a statement dated January 20, McDan Aviation announced it had resumed operations.
“McDan Aviation is excited to announce the reopening of our Fixed Base Operator (FBO) services, effective January 20, 2025. After a temporary closure, we are ready to resume our commitment to providing exceptional private jets.”
It said the resumption followed a successful resolution with the Ghana Airport Company Limited regarding outstanding financial matters.
“We appreciate the support and collaboration of the Ghana Airport Company Limited during this process, which has allowed us to address the necessary requirements and return to full operations.”
