Manchester United Sacks Ruben Amorim

Manchester United has ended the contract of head coach Ruben Amorim’s father after 14 months in charge.
According to the English Premier League club, his departure is an opportunity for the team record the highest possible Premier League finish.
“With Manchester United sitting sixth in the Premier League, the club’s leadership has reluctantly made the decision that it is the right time to make a change.”
“The club would like to thank Ruben for his contribution to the club and wishes him well for the future.”
He will be replaced in the interim by Ex-Man Utd midfielder and current U18s coach Darren Fletcher as the team prepares against Burnley on Wednesday.
Ruben was appointed in November 2024 in the stead of Erik ten Hag on a two-and-a-half-year contract, which was due to expire in June 2027.
During his last game with United on Sunday, he drew against Leeds.
Records show that Amorim won 24 of his 63 games in charge in all competitions and recorded 19 EPL defeats.
