Man Brutally Murdered on His Farm
Abrokro, a suburb of Agona Nyakrom in the Central Region, has been gripped by fear in the aftermath of a horrific murder that took place last Thursday.
The victim, identified only as Kofi and aged 45, was found dead on his farm, his body bearing brutal cutlass wounds to the back of his neck and head. The discovery was made around 2 p.m.
According to reports, Kofi had informed his co-tenants the day before his fateful trip that he intended to travel to his hometown, Odoben Nankese, also located in the Central Region, on Thursday to visit his farms.
However, his landlord, Alhaji Issaka, shared that subsequent inquiries made by his wife revealed that Kofi had not arrived at Odoben as planned. Fueled by concern and uncertainty, a group of residents, accompanied by the landlord, embarked on a mission to locate Kofi at his farm in Abrokro on Saturday.
Alhaji Issaka recounted, “We kept calling his phone which was going through, but there was no response. We later found his body a few metres from his phone in his farm at Abrokro in Agona Nyakrom.”
Following the grim discovery, a report was filed with the police, and the victim’s body was transported to the Agona Swedru Government Hospital mortuary.
