Mamprobi Hospital Baby Thief Arrested, Baby Found

The police have successfully apprehended a suspect in the viral theft of a newborn baby at Mamprobi Polyclinic.

Reports also confirm that the baby has been found and safely delivered to its mother.

The baby is currently receiving medical attention.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning, attracting a mammoth crowd to the health facility.

The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has visited the health facility to assess the situation.

She has also assured the mother of the needed justice.

The baby was stolen from the hospital on February 17, 2026. Videos of the alleged thief clandestinely leaving the facility went viral.

The father of the baby, Mohammed Agyemang, has expressed gratitude to the public for its solidarity.
