Mahama Vows to Create Opportunities For Ghanaian Children

President John Dramani Mahama has vowed to create the needed opportunities to safeguard the future of Ghanaian children.
In a Facebook post, he conceded that Ghanaian children deserved better and thus committed to formulating the needed policies for the cause.
“Our children deserve better. Through deliberate policies and the right leadership, I promise to build a Ghana that creates opportunities for our children.”
This was in response to his wife, Lordina Mahama’s urgent call for all to stand united in creating a world where every child is protected and empowered.
Speaking at the Annual Prayer Service for Children on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Church Centre for the United Nations, the first lady said, “These are precious lives destroyed by circumstances beyond their control. We must act decisively to ensure they don’t lose their homes, their dreams, or carry emotional scars forever.”
“This cause is deeply personal to me, and it is the very essence of the Lordina Foundation’s mission—to uplift and empower the vulnerable, particularly orphans and children in need, giving them a chance at a brighter future.”
