Jordan Ayew Voted Palace Player Of The Month

Ghana international Jordan Ayew has won the Player of the Month trophy of Crystal Palace a few weeks into the 2023/2024 English Premier League.

He was voted the Player of August by supporters.

“The Palace No. 9 won a hotly-contested supporters’ poll following his three assists in the opening four games of 2023/24,” the Club said on Monday.

Jordan after the vote had 29.7% of the supporters’ votes ahead of second-placed Andersen (20.4%) and third-placed Ebere Eze (18.9%), with Jefferson Lerma (17.6%) not far behind, the Club announced.

The Black Star player gave all the credit to Palace Manager Roy Hodgson.

“He’s (Roy Hodgson) been really good to me and putting me into positions where I can express myself and feel more comfortable. He (Roy Hodgson) gives me the freedom to express myself and as a player that’s all you can ask for.

“Every game I try to tell myself that I need to be efficient and make something happen. At the moment, things are going well. It’s still the start of the season, there are still a lot of games to go, and hopefully, it’ll continue,” he told the Club’s media in an interview.

The 31-year-old has provided three assists so far this season registering his first during Palace’s season opener against Sheffield United on August 12 for the only goal.

His second was recorded in a leveler in Brentford’s match on August 26 while his third was registered against Wolverhampton on Sunday.
