Lin Win’s ‘A Country Called Ghana’ Nominated for Nollywood Film Festival

Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win’s latest production with a Ghanaian and Nigerian blend of prominent actors, has made a significant stride as it has been considered for the 2024 Nollywood Film Festival in Germany.

The movie will also be screened at the festival, which will be held at the GOETHE University, Purple Cinema, Mertonstr 26–28, in Frankfurt AM Main on August 3rd, 2024.

The movie,  ‘A Country Called Ghana’, was directed by Frank Fiifi Ghabin with Nkansah as the executive director and featuring stars like Ramsey Nouah, Charles Awurum, and Victor Osuagwu, popularly known as ‘Awilo Sharp Sharp,’ Paa George, Sweet Mimi, and others.

This is refreshing news for Lil Win, who recently found himself in deep trouble after his unregistered branded car, with which he was undertaking a regional tour promoting the premiere of the movie, killed a three-year-old boy.

The Kumawood star was arraigned at the Asokore Mampong District Court on June 3, 2024, and charged with dangerous driving, negligently causing harm and the use of an unregistered branded car.

He has since postponed subsequent movie premieres in other regions in memory of a three-year-old.

Nollywood Festival/NEGA Awards Germany is an annual event dedicated to showcasing the best of Nollywood to the German audience to foster international trade and exchange opportunities in this largely untapped market.
