Broadcast journalist Umaru Sanda has taken a swipe at his fellow Muslims who have taken on the business of begging in and around cities, towns, and places all over the country.
He described the act as an “ugly spectacle”, and called for an eradication.
“From the fronts of our mosques to street corners to traffic intersections. It’s almost as if we are constantly #BegForLife.
“Let’s do something about this ugly spectacle”, he said.
His post was addressed to Ghanaian Muslims.
He recalled that alms-giving is a pillar in Islam but asked, are “we the only community with poor and disabled people?”
