League Leaders Aduana FC Draw with Kotoku Royals
One of the match week 29 games on Monday ended in a draw between Aduana Stars Sporting Club and Kotoku Royals.
After a goalless first half at the Theatre of Dreams at Dawu, Aduana managed a lead through Isaac Mintah in the 71st minute but relegation-bound Kotoku Royals cancelled it out in the injury time through Prince Dogbe, denying the leaders all three points.
Despite still leading in the league, Aduana FC holds 51 points- three points clear- having won three, lost one and drew one in their last five matches.
Kotoku Royals on the other hand hasn’t recorded a win in their last five games and sits at the bottom of the league table with 23 points.
The officiation from yesterday’s match does not seem to please the head coach of the league leaders, Paa Kwesi Fabin.
He is quoted as saying, “The result is not what I’m looking for, and I’m highly disappointed in the referee in the second half because every ball that we came to tackle was a foul against us.”
“Look at the number of free kicks he gave them (Kotoku Royals) in the second half. Is that how we want a worthy champion of the league?”
