Kwesi Appiah Rules Out Return as Black Stars Coach

Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah has strongly dismissed rumours linking him with a possible return to lead the Black Stars.
The former Ghana coach made it clear that there is no truth in the speculation surrounding the vacant Black Stars position.
Speaking in a recent interview, Appiah stated that he has not been contacted by the Ghana Football Association and remains fully focused on his current role with Sudan.
The coaching job became available after Otto Addo was sacked following the Black Stars’ poor results in the March international window, where they lost 5-1 to Austria and 2-1 to Germany.
Appiah’s name had surfaced among potential candidates due to his past experience with the national team. He remains the first local coach to qualify Ghana for the FIFA World Cup, achieving the feat in 2014 in Brazil.
However, the experienced gaffer has now firmly ruled himself out of contention as the Ghana Football Association continues its search for a new head coach.
Other names reportedly under consideration include Hervé Renard, Tom Saintfiet and Eric Chelle.
Kwesi Appiah insisted he is committed to his work with Sudan and has no plans to leave his current post at this time.
