Kotoko Sign New Right-back After Kotei Injury

Asante Kotoko have signed right-back Daniel Adrian Adjetey on a one and-a-half-year contract to augment the team after injury ruled out Emmanuel Kotei for the rest of season

This signing was announced on January 20 after successful medicals.

Kotoko are confident that the 24-year-old’s experience will be of much use to the team.

In a statement, Prosper Narteh Ogum said, “With Kotei’s unfortunate ACL injury, it was important that we reacted in the market.”

According to him, Daniel is more than a player and qualifies by all standards to join the Porcupines.

He “brings quality, experience, and competitiveness. He will not only strengthen our squad but also challenge Lord Amoah for that position, which is key for us moving forward. We’re confident he’ll make an impact both defensively and offensively”.

Daniels believes Kotoko is a suitable ground for his growth.

“It’s exciting, and I’m confident this is the right place for me to grow as a player and contribute to something great. I know the expectations here are high, and I’m ready to work hard, compete for my place, and give my all to help the team succeed.”

The versatile defender began his career in Ghana with Nania FC, where he honed his skills and established himself as a dependable right-back known for his defensive solidity and attacking support.

He also previously played for Naestved in Denmark’s Division 2 and BFC Daugavpils in the Latvia topflight.
