Kotoko Fined GHC10k

Asante Kotoko Sporting Club has been fined GHC10,000 by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

This is in response to misconduct following their Ghana Premier League match against Medeama SC.

According to the Disciplinary Committee of the FA, the Kumasi-based club was found guilty of failing to ensure the safety of match officials, allowing supporters to threaten and attack officials, and permitting unauthorized access into restricted areas, including the tunnel.

It has further been warned by the Disciplinary Committee.

“The fine is to be paid within fourteen (14) days of notification of the decision,” the Committee said in a notice.

The match took place at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi on November 30, 2025, where Kotoko staged a remarkable comeback to equalize 2-2.
