Kotoko Fill Danlad Spot, Announce 3 New Signings
The empty spot of former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim is being filled by 24-year-old Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara after the club contracted his services.
The signing of the former Soar Academy player was among four announced over the weekend by the Porcupines.
He is on a two-year contract and the Porcupines seek to prey on his experience as Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum believes he is a perfect fit for his team.
“Mohammed Camara is an outstanding goalkeeper with incredible talent. His agility, quick reflexes, and ability to command his area make him a perfect fit for our team. He comes highly recommended, and we are confident he will be a great asset to our club.”
Additionally, Kotoko have gone in for Berekum Chelsea left-back Patrick Asiedu.
Coach Ogum is of the view that the 21-year-old defender has what it takes to help the club realise their objective in the approaching season after monitoring his progress for some time.
“We have been monitoring his progress closely, and we believe he has the qualities to thrive in our system and help us achieve our objectives this season.”
Another addition to the Porcupines’ fold is the captain of relegated Bofoakwa Tano, Saaka Dauda.
The 24-year-old is on a three-year contract in Kumasi after registering eight goals and 3 assists in his name in the Ghana Premier League.
Forward Albert Amoah, 22, from Accra Great Olympics was also announced to have reached a deal with Kotoko.
He is on a three-year deal. In the previous season, he scored five goals and provided three assists in 17 games.
