Kofi Kinaata Cancels Taadi Concert For Second Time
Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has announced the cancellation of his Made in Taadi concert for the second time in a row.
The show was cancelled last year and it was expected to be staged this year, however, in a statement on Wednesday, the “Sweetie Pie” composer said the annual concert will not take place as earlier announced.
“It is with regret that Team Move Management announce the unfortunate cancellation of Kofi Kinaata’s annual music concert, Made in Taadi for the second consecutive year.”
Though last year’s cancellation was due to his booked schedules for various concerts across the country, this year’s, the press statement noted, was due to difficulties in finding a suitable venue for the concert.
“The primary challenge has been a suitable venue for the event after the Jubilee Park and Takoradi Technical University Park became inaccessible.
“Considering the nature of Made in Taadi, all potential venues for this year’s concert have been advised against, citing concerns that could affect the safety and quality of the experience for our attendees. We want to assure our fans that management is actively working on solutions to overcome this setback in the future.”
Meanwhile, it noted that fans can still revel with his performance as he has been billed for events across the country this Christmas.
It furthered, “Even though ‘Made in Taadi Concert’ will not come off this year, Sekondi-Takoradi remains the Christmas destination in Ghana. We encourage everyone to look out for equally interesting events in the Oil City this Christmas season.”
