Kade Teacher Assault: GES Vows to Met out Appropriate Sanctions

The Ghana Education Service has vowed to met out appropriate disciplinary actions against past students of Kade Senior High Technical School who physically assaulted a teacher for his strictness in WASSCE invigilation.
It is determined to ensure justice is duly served in accordance with the law and GES regulations.
Condemning the assault as unacceptable, unlawful, and a direct affront to the dignity of the teaching profession, the GES assured all teachers of its full support in instilling discipline and ensuring examination integrity.
It further urged all students to uphold discipline and respect authority.
The teacher, identified as Mr Michael Quayson, was ambushed on the way to his house on October 5, 2025.
The assault was reportedly carried out by aggrieved past students over his strictness during the invigilation of the Christian Religious Studies WASSCE 2025 paper.
The GES noted that it had taken over the issue, and investigations are currently ongoing.
