John Dumelo Contests In Ayawaso West Wuogon Primaries
Actor cum farmer, John Dumelo, is contesting in the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency primaries of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He announced what he termed as his “second coming” in a social media post on Sunday.
If he succeeds in the primaries, it will be the second time he will be contesting on the ticket of the opposition NDC in a general election in 2024.
According to John Dumelo, his decision to contest was after extensive consultation.

The actor first contested in the 2020 general elections but lost to the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) candidate Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Hon Alhassam polled 39,851 votes whereas the actor polled 37,778 votes.
Also picking a nomination form to contest as the NDC candidate for the Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency is actor Fred Nuamah.
The Primaries of the NDC will take place on May 13, 2023.
