I’ve Admired Kotoko Since Childhood- Black Satellites Keeper

U-20 shot-stopper, Benjamin Twum has expressed his excitement at joining Asante Kotoko Sporting Club (SC), disclosing he had been nurturing a secret admiration for the club since childhood.

Twum, formerly with Young Apostles now joins the porcupines on a three-and-half year contract.

He will wear the number 13 shirt and will be officially unveiled at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday before Kotoko’s Ghana Premier League clash against Bibiani Gold Stars, the club noted in a statement.

In an interview with the club media, the nineteen-year-old said, “It’s honestly overwhelming to join Kotoko. This is a club I’ve admired for as long as I can remember, and the opportunity to be part of it is something I couldn’t have imagined at this stage of my career.”

He is determined to use the platform to groom himself further in his career.

“I’m here to learn, grow, and give my all whenever I’m called upon. The support and belief from everyone I’ve met so far at the club already mean so much to me.”

Known for his sharp reflexes, excellent positioning, and composure beyond his years, Twum is set to add youthful energy to the Porcupine Warriors’ goalkeeping department.

Head Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum described him as “exceptional” and endorsed his composure on the field.

“Benjamin is a young goalkeeper with exceptional potential. Despite his age, he has shown maturity and composure in his performances. We’re excited to have him as part of our team and look forward to his growth with us.”
