I’m Not About To Be Anyone’s 7th Wife- Chika Ike
Nigerian actress Chika Ike has deflated rumours that suggested that she is pregnant for and about to marry lawyer and politician, Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko, popularly known as Ned Nwoko.
The rumours that she was about to fall as the seventh wife to the millionaire started after she shared pictures of her pregnancy on social media.
However, reacting to the speculation which had taken over the media space, she issued a statement calling it “lies” and emphasizing that she had no interest in polygamous marriage.
Though she feels the speculations didn’t deserve a response, the involvement of her unborn child made it prudent for the record to be straight.
“Ned isn’t the Father of my child and whoever name you might come up with later with your guessing games and like I’ve said before I’m not about to be anyone’s 7th wife! Polygamy isn’t for me.”
The actress refused to disclose the identity of her baby’s child, affirming that it was part of her privacy.
“Keep digging and coming up with your false news. I don’t care about rumours because I understand it comes with my career choice and the only reason I’m responding to this rumour is because this is about my child. My privacy is my peace and NO ONE can unsettle me.”
To Chika who says she is “basking in the euphoria of my pregnancy”, all that matter at the moment is her baby.
Meanwhile, the politician also issued a statement debunking the speculations as a fabrication by bloggers for attention.
“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation…As a public figure and with his wife also being an actress, it is not unusual for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions.”
The rumours gained ground after the sixth wife of Ned, Regina Daniels deactivated her Instagram account following trolls.
