I Have an Unblemished Record- Kwabena Agyepong

New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential hopeful, Ing Kwabena Agyei Agyepong has boldly declared that he has an unblemished track record as a politician.

Speaking on Opemsuo Radio, he said he pursued his past political appointments with conscious and utmost dignity.

“When President Kufour gave me an appointment to serve him and the country for close to six years, I didn’t amass wealth. I have an unblemished record. No one can dent my record.”

The politician intends to leverage his aspiring position to egg on the party base to restore the party’s lost cherished values.

According to him, the pleasure of serving the country and the sense of fulfilment of helping build the country are invaluable.

“The centre-piece of politics is the welfare of the ordinary people, that is to improve their livelihoods and not amass wealth. I want my candidature to prick the conscience of Ghanaians. The theme of my campaign is ‘NPP going back to our roots’. Going back to our noble roots, when politics was a noble calling for service to the country. Politics is not about the benefits but about how you can help the party.”

He observes that politics has now become synonymous with greed for money among the youth of the country.

“If we don’t inculcate selflessness in the youth, they may think politics is the norm of grabbing wealth.”
