Hubert Gyau Confident Kotoko Will Breach Hearts’ Defence in Super Clash

Hubert Gyau, the former Berekum Chelsea midfielder, has expressed his belief that Asante Kotoko will score in the Super Clash on Sunday.
The 20-year-old midfielder completed his transition from Berekum Chelsea to Asante Kotoko at the beginning of the 2025/26 season, when he claimed he held similar abilities to the Portuguese and Paris Saint-Germain player, Vitinha.
Hubert has appeared in twenty (20) league games for the Porcupine Warriors, totalling 1,594 minutes and scoring four (4) goals before of the Super-Clash on Sunday, February 15th, 2026.
The midfielder, who has been recognised for his thunderbolt strikes, sounded confident that Asante Kotoko would definitely unlock the compact defence unit of the rainbow outfit in the Super-Clash.
In an exclusive interview with Oyerepa Television and FM, Gyau did not care about the low rate of goals conceded by the Accra Hearts of Oak team in the season, but sounded confident that his side would, at all costs, put a ball in the net of the Phobians.
Gyau revealed, “No matter the manner Hearts of Oak will park the bus in midfield and at their defence, all the players have made up our minds that we will penetrate through and put a ball at the back of their net. No matter how resolute they would set up at the back, we will convert the chances.”
Gyau, who won Goal of the Month in November 2025, also urged supporters to turn out in large numbers at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to defeat their bitter rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.
“Anytime we set our eyes on them (supporters) in numbers at the stadium, we are much encouraged to perform, because we notice the love and joy, they’ve developed for us on the field, and that motivates us a lot,” Gyau stated.
