Here Are Alternative Routes as KMA Announces Closure of Main Officers’ Mess Road

The Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) has announced the closure of the main Officers’ Mess Road for 12 hours to motorists today, March 3, 2026.
The Assembly, in a statement, outlined alternative routes for motorists from Santasi Roundabout who want to access Adum through Danyame and vice versa, are advised to use the following roads:
From Santasi Roundabout, turn right immediately after Orleanse Hotel towards the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) to Lancaster Hotel, where you can turn left towards the ECG road enroute to Bank of Ghana and to Adum or right turn to Ridge Police Station through KMA to Adum.
They can also go beyond Miklin Hotel and turn right towards Veronique Heights and link to the
RCC road, proceed towards Lancaster Hotel, take left towards the ECG road to link to Adum or right towards Ridge Police Station to link to KMA and then to Adum.
Alternatively, they can turn left after the Danyame Primary School, through the Sunset Hotel, to link through the Ridge School, then turn left towards the Bekwai Roundabout or right towards the Danyame traffic light and left towards the ECG road to link to Adum.
Those coming from Adum wanting to access Santasi Roundabout are advised to either take left at the traffic light at the Officers’ Mess to get to Lancaster Hotel, proceed through to Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) road, turn right towards Miklin Hotel, turn left in front of New Orleans Hotel, and continue straight to Santasi Roundabout Alternatively, at the traffic light, they can turn right towards the Ridge school. At the next junction, which links to the Frank David Hotel in front of the former Redicash building, they should proceed through Miklin Hotel to Santasi.
Attendees to the funeral of Mr Andrew Amankwah are advised to stop in front of the Villandro Military Guest House at Neem Avenue. Attendees from Santasi to the funeral are advised to stop right at the entrance of Villandro Military Guest House at Neem Avenue and walk to the funeral grounds.
Attendees coming from Adum are advised to follow police instructions that will lead them to the car park, drop off and walk to the funeral grounds.
All VIPs are supposed to report at the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC), where they will be directed to go through the Royal Palm Avenue to get to the designated car park.
