Hearts To Be Manned By Togbe Afede and New MD
Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club will no longer be under the supervision of Board of Directors but under a two-member management team, the club has announced.
Its decision follows the dissolution of the club’s Board of Directors on Tuesday after their reign for 13 years.
A statement released by the club said the Agbogbomefia of the Asogli State, Togbe Afede XIV will assume the position of Executive Chairman while Delali Anku-Adiamah takes over as the Managing Director.
Their appointment takes effect on February 28, it said.
The decision was taken by Strategic Initiatives Ltd and Strategic African Securities Ltd, majority owners of Accra Hearts of Oak SC Plc per Section 171 (I) of the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992).
“Strategic Initiatives Ltd and Strategic African Securities Ltd, majority owners of Accra Hearts of Oak SC Plc, hereby appoint the following as directors effective February 28, 2024: Togbe Afede XIV, Chairman of Strategic Initiatives Ltd, who will resume his role as Executive Chairman, and Delali Anku-Adiamah, Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak SC Plc.”
The work of Thomas Esso, Alhaji Andani Alhassan, Ivy Heward Mills, Prof. Kofi Kumado, Alhaji Moro Brimah, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, Dr. Nyaho-Tamakloe, Frank Nelson and Togbe Afede XIV as Board members of the club was brought to an end on February 27, 2024.
They were appointed in 2011.
