Hearts of Oak Deny Any Rift With Players Over Delayed Salaries

Accra Hearts of Oak have strongly rubbished reports claiming there is a rift between management and players over unpaid salaries.
Speculations in the local outlets had reported that the club owed players several months of salaries. Some stories even suggested the unpaid wages were hurting team morale and contributing to recent poor results on the field.
In an official statement, Hearts of Oak dismissed the claims as misrepresentation. The club explained that the recent meeting with players was simply a routine discussion to address normal internal matters.
The ‘Phobians’ stressed that certain media outlets blew the story out of proportion by describing the meeting as heated or tense.
The club made it clear there is absolutely no conflict or dispute between management and the playing body.
The Rainbow Club are currently in a rough patch, having gone three straight matches without a win in the Ghana Premier League. Despite the dip in form, they hold fourth position on the league table with 41 points.
Hearts of Oak now turn their attention to the next fixture, an away trip to face Heart of Lions. The team hopes to end the winless run and regain momentum in the title race.
