Heartbroken Medeama Leads Tribute For Dead Former Player Kabiru Moro
Medeama Sporting Club has paid tribute to their deceased former player, Kabiru Moro.
Moro who also played for Premier League giant Asante Kotoko Sporting Club died at 35 on Tuesday, July 18, 2023.
He is reported to have collapsed to death during a community football match in Akwatia in the Eastern Region.
He was pronounced dead upon arrival at St. Dominic Hospital in Akwatia by medical officials.
On Wednesday, July 19 he was buried per Islamic traditions.
In a Facebook post, Medeama said they were heartbroken by the news.
“We are heartbroken to learn of the tragic demise of our former striker Kabiru Moro.”
It added, “Medeama Sporting Club shares in the sorrow of his family, friends, colleagues and the larger Ghanaian football. Our thoughts and prayers are with them in these difficult times.”
