Hamza Mohammed Optimistic Of Kotoko’s Title Defence
The Head Coach of Tamale City, Hamza Mohammed, is Optimistic that the Porcupine Warriors still have the wherewithal to defend the league title in spite of a seeming roller-coaster season.
The 2021/22 Ghana Premier League Champions have not been flamboyant this season, and many seem to write Kotoko off from defending the league title.
The Fabulous side is yet to win a game in three league games, and it has become a major concern to the rank and file of the team.
But Hamza Mohammed whose team played against the Porcupine Warriors has shared a different opinion-rooting about Kotoko winning the league.
“If Kotoko can maintain the performance they demonstrated in the second half, there is no way they cannot defend the league.” Hamza Mohammed, Tamale City Coach, told Opemsuo Radio in an exclusive interview.
He added that he was impressed with the team, looking at how injury has taken some players off as well as the National team.
“Kotoko will become good if all their injury players resume as well as those with the Black Galaxies”.
Kotoko will travel to Bibiani over the weekend to play against Bibiani Gold Stars on Sunday.
The team now sit in the second position with 20 points.
