Govt Renews Curfew on Sampa

The government has renewed the curfew in Sampa Township, Jaman North District, Bono Region.

The review of the curfew duration took effect on March 26, 2026 and was confirmed in a statement by the Ministry of Interior.

“The Minister for the Interior, on the advice of the Bono Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument, has renewed the curfew hours for Sampa Township in Jaman North District of the Bono Region from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am each day, effective Thursday, March 26, 2026.”

It further urged Chiefs, Opinion Leaders, Youth and People of the area to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and to use non-violent means to channel their grievances into ensuring peace in the area.

Meanwhile, it reaffirmed the total ban on carrying arms, ammunition, or any offensive weapons.

“Any person found with any arms or ammunition will be arrested and prosecuted,” it emphasised.
