Gov’t Remains Committed to Addressing Concerns of Health Workers- Health Minister
The Minister for Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, says the government is focused on addressing the concerns of all health workers.
He acknowledges that these concerns range from conditions of service and logistics to outstanding obligations.
“We will continue to engage constructively with all relevant institutions to ensure that these matters are resolved in a fair and sustainable manner,” he said in an end-of-year message to workers.
He commended the workers for their selfless service in saving lives and bringing hope to families.
“Your dedication, often under difficult circumstances, remains the backbone of our healthcare delivery system.”
Reflecting on the year, he said it had been one of commitment, resilience, and renewed focus on strengthening Ghana’s health system.
These, he said, have resulted in deliberate steps to improve access to quality healthcare, enhance healthcare financing, and prioritise the welfare of Ghana’s health workforce.
He further announced plans to intensify efforts to expand health infrastructure, improve service delivery, strengthen preventive healthcare, and advance the government’s agenda of equitable and affordable healthcare for all Ghanaians.
“I urge all citizens to continue adopting healthy lifestyles and to support national health programmes aimed at disease prevention and health promotion.”
